Here goes Nothing…

Well here is my very first attempt at a journal entry, computer blog, internet writing thing....I’m not even sure what its called and yet I’m doing it. I’m definitely not as gifted and talented as Bobby at writing and I’m not sure I really have anything worth sharing on a regular basis… so when you get sick of diaper stories just let me know. I also don’t know how to add pictures, create a link(or know of a link) and Bobby is the one who just showed me how to log on… in other words you are going to get the very basics. I am willing to try though.

I have never been very good at journaling. When I was growing up one several people gave me journals to start and though they were beautiful I could never get more than two pages written on it, if that. My sister filled many though and writing just seemed to flow from her and now the writer in the family is my husband. It’s not that I think I’m a bad writer… its just that anything I have to say just comes out of my mouth. Maybe its a good thing that I write it down instead.

I also am at a loss as to what to write about. My daily routine is probably very similar to every other stay at home mom routine...dishes, laundry and kids. Do you all really want to hear h0w I separate the darks and lights and clean up spit up? I didn’t think so. My one saving grace is that two days a week I go to the hospital and interact with other grown ups!! I love it. It does still include changing diapers (still babies) and spit up but it very rewarding helping a new mom gain confidence in herself and her ability to take this tiny thing home with her and care for it. I can write more on that later. I would love to hear some suggestions of what you all who so bravely voted for me would like me to write about.

As your hubby, it is my honor and distinct priviledge to be the very first to write a comment on your blog… er, journal, sorry. You’re the most beautiful and awesome wife in the world and after 10 years of marriage you only get better. I’m looking forward to the next 10 years.

My goodness, you are way too sweet Bobby!!!

Rennee, I would love anything that came from a woman. All I hear all day is "Mama...Mama....Mamaaaaaa.." and though I love it dearly, I so need an interaction with an adult. So when my dear hubby comes home, all I hear is about wood, motorcycles, or guy stuff. So, even if all I heard about was how tired you were at the end of the day, at least I would know I wasn’t the only one. Then, maybe, I would be able to know there was light somewhere and I don’t have to change my name just to get some peace. smile I love you and I wish I could see ya’ll soon, Dani

HOORAY on your very first journal entry!!! I am pretty sure being the mother of two active big girls and two very active tweebs is even busier than my daily routine. I mean every time Joah is quiet I know I better find him soon or who knows what he will be eating. So dog food isn’t so bad.... the other day Joah got a almost gone soda from a fast food place off the counter. I lovingly said no and threw it in the trash along with other nasties off of the counter. Well I turned my back and then turned back and my little darling (who obviously has the listening skills of his daddy) was drinking the almost gone soda out of the trash can along with whatever other nasties it had collected. YUCK!!!! If only we had a smidge of their energy!

Rennee, as a fellow stay-at-home mom I know just how uninteresting separating darks from lights can be. And wiping up spit-up is just as uninspiring… or so I used to think. These days it’s fairly stimulating as Noah is having a blast playing in it. We have hardwood floors and he has the best time *ever* smearing it, rolling in it, you name it.

But I digress.

I look forward to reading about whatever it is you feel the urge to type here in your journal. We miss you guys and are glad to have even this little bitty link to you!

The twins looove to play in thier spit up too....or each others. It’s all the same to them. It’s disgusting...but when your tired somewhat hilarious at the same time.

Hi, Rennee! I am NOT cleaning spit up off the floor; however, I AM switching out winter clothes/summer clothes and have made at least 1,000 trips up/down the stairs today. David is in the process of moving out today as well. We keep passing each other on those stairs! I have a hard/fast rule on today’s chore: if I didn’t wear it this last winter, it goes in the Goodwill box rather than hauled downstairs. Since 95% of my wardrobe comes from thrift stores, it’s not hard to fold it and put it in that Goodwill box since I didn’t spend much on it in the first place.

I would love to have you share here what the Lord is busy teaching you these days.

Love you still...joyce

It is so awesome to have this type of connection. We certainly enjoyed having it in India. I spent the weekend camping with the girls. I forgot my computer cord when I came home so have been without for four days. You can share anything you can think of and somethings you only feel. It is also good to hear from Dani, Andrea, and Joyce.

Dani,
You will notice that I removed your last comment. I didn’t do that to be mean, I did that to save your life. Here’s a little online hint from a wannabe nerd: never, ever put your email address into a comment on a blog or chatroom or other public website. It is very dangerous. You’ll start getting spam (and not nice spam either). So I took you comment off to save you the headache. We have about 60 or 70 people a day read this thing and even though I know who they are (as far as what computer they are reading from) I don’t know if they have the best intentions. So here is what I’m going to do. If Nora has not emailed you with her email address: Nora, click the "Send Us an Email" button on the right and send me your address and I’ll forward it on to Dani. That way everyone is safe and no spam was hurt in the process.

Ok, I’m an idiot. Dani, if you just click on Nora’s name it will automatically send her an email without compromising her address. When you put a comment on this site, you can put your email on there (it will NOT be shown publicly) and people can click your name to send you an email. Nifty!
