Ladies and Gentlemen!
This is where Rennee will be doing her best work… when she get’s around to it. Start leaving comments here to urge her to post more!!
Well here is my very first attempt at a journal entry, computer blog, internet writing thing….I’m not even sure what its called and yet I’m doing it. I’m definitely not as gifted and talented as Bobby at writing and I’m not sure I really have anything worth sharing on a regular basis… so when you get sick of diaper stories just let me know. I also don’t know how to add pictures, create a link(or know of a link) and Bobby is the one who just showed me how to log on… in other words you are going to get the very basics. I am willing to try though.
I have never been very good at journaling. When I was growing up one several people gave me journals to start and though they were beautiful I could never get more than two pages written on it, if that. My sister filled many though and writing just seemed to flow from her and now the writer in the family is my husband. It’s not that I think I’m a bad writer… its just that anything I have to say just comes out of my mouth. Maybe its a good thing that I write it down instead.
I also am at a loss as to what to write about. My daily routine is probably very similar to every other stay at home mom routine…dishes, laundry and kids. Do you all really want to hear h0w I separate the darks and lights and clean up spit up? I didn’t think so. My one saving grace is that two days a week I go to the hospital and interact with other grown ups!! I love it. It does still include changing diapers (still babies) and spit up but it very rewarding helping a new mom gain confidence in herself and her ability to take this tiny thing home with her and care for it. I can write more on that later. I would love to hear some suggestions of what you all who so bravely voted for me would like me to write about.

Well, it’s obvious that Rennee needs her own journal on here. Here’s the deal, and she wants everyone to be VERY aware of this, she will post if and when she has time so it will be sporadic at best. I will get her set up as soon as I have time (probably sometime this afternoon or this evening). The other thing is we only have a basic package for webspace so I can have multiple journals, but only one author. So that means that she will have her own journal but it will show me as the author (it will be obvious if I wrote it or if she wrote it). When I make a new journal for her you will see the change on the menu. My journal will say something like "B Journal" and Ren’s will be "R Journal" or "THE Journal" or "Important Journal" or "The journal that everyone reads" or "Who am I kidding, this is it" or… well, you get the idea.
But mine will still be the front page, so mnyeah. (my immature 3-year-old immitation)
I am trying to decide whether or not to give Rennee her own journal on our family website. So, we’re going to take a vote. We will only make a decision once we have at least 10 comments below (click the "comment" button just below to leave a comment… no, you don’t have to leave any personal info if you don’t want to). So, if you would like to get things from Rennee’s perspective (which, I don’t think anyone does) leave your vote below.
Tired of trying to remember (or save in your browser history) the whole "http://bobbysfam.squarespace.com"? Not anymore! You can now just put http://www.bobbysfam.com OR http://www.bobbyvaughn.com and get the same great site!
In a press conference recently, Jeff Gordon (my personal hero) said that if his wife (model Ingrid Vandebosch) has their baby girl (I knew that Jeff was a real man!) during a race week he will have Mark Martin drive the famed #24. Now, why should this concern you? Because Jeff Gordon has not missed a race since 1992 (nearly 450 races!) and Mark Martin (another driver I love) would be absolutely AWESOME in Jeff’s car! I’m praying that Ingrid has the baby the day before the race just so I can watch Mark Martin whoop some tail with the unbeatable 24. I’m on pins-and-needles!
The car that will make it all happen!

There’s a new discussion going on in the discussion board area. No, if you put your email down it is not made public (but you don’t have to put your email down if you don’t want to) and you don’t have to have a website to leave a comment. Enter the discussion… unless you’re too much of a pansy to! See you there.
Sony has released the first flexible LED screen. I know that some of you don’t know what that is, but let me tell you that it is going to rapidly change our world. Newspapers won’t be paper anymore. Books won’t be paper anymore. Laptops and cell phones will be as thin as a sheet of paper! This truly is very exciting!
Ok, here’s the skinny on what is happening in Texas. Before graduating from High School, every student in Texas has to take the TAKS test. If they fail the TAKS test, they cannot graduate. This has upset more than a few parents who think their kids should at least be able to walk in the graduation with the rest of their class. I’m sorry but that should not be the case. If this was one of my girls, I would tell them, “Tough stuff. You failed. You get to do it again.” Case in point: Notice the picture below of some mothers protesting at a Ft. Worth High School. Notice the sign. I think the mom’s need to go back to school. “Let are kids walk”? What the…? I mean, c’mon! If you’re going to protest a learning institution you should probably at least look like you have some education. I just think this is funny.
Today is just one of those days. Not tired, not bored, but not motivated or energetic. So, I’m doing this to try to break my two-day slump. I was reading a blog of one of my online heroes, Andrew Jones over at www.tallskinnykiwi.com, and his post for today stopped me in my tracks. Not because it was some profound, thought-provoking journal entry, but because it was so plain and simple. Something that I have known for the entirety of my life yet this one simple thing stopped me on a dime. You can read his entire post HERE (click on this to go to his website) but I’ll put the picture he has right here for you to enjoy. It’s amazing. Notice the light in the window above the statue and how it perfectly sits on the thief next to Jesus. You really need to read The Kiwi’s post to fully get the impact.
